Things A Six Sigma Green Belt Should Know
All “belts” play different roles in the Six Sigma. Green Belts and Black Belts are authorized to initiate, expand and manage projects in their functional areas.
Project Implementation
Green Belts are the employees who are trained to implement Six Sigma projects, under the direction of Black belts to achieve the desired objectives. They carry out these activities along with their regular responsibilities. Green Belts spend about 25-50% percent of their time involved in the Six Sigma. They are aware of all the important activities they carry out.
Must be able to explain the importance of y = f (x), the formula for business and processes. They are trained in the various tools necessary to carry out the collection of data and to validate the measurement system. They are also well trained in the DMAIC methodology and statistics.
